For my nutrition, I count my calories. I’ve currently been using My Fitness Pal because they have a great app for my iPhone that lets me easily track my calories throughout the day. I try to stay around 1200-1300 calories if I’m not working out, and then I eat more on the days that I workout!

For exercise, I don’t go to a gym at all (I’m a broke student!) so I mainly do workout DVDs at home or play fitness games on my Xbox & Wii. I do Zumba DVDs and the Wii game as well as the Your Shape Fitness game for Kinect. I take a Zumba class once a week with a couple friends. It helps keep me accountable! I also make sure that I wear a heart rate monitor with a chest strap when I work out (such a good investment!) so I can see how many calories I’m burning. Then I will also track my calories burned on My Fitness Pal so I can find out my net calories for each day!

I also enjoy running but since I live in Canada, I usually wait until Spring when it warms up a little! But I used the Couch to 5k plan when I was starting out so I would begin my running process slowly since I had no experience!

It’s what works for me! You have to figure out what you enjoy because I know personally I won’t keep up a routines if I hate every second of it! I hope this helps! =)
